Structuring Engineering Comparison Tables

When comparing material properties or solver benchmarks, align text columns to the left and numeric quantities to the right with explicit units in the column headers.

Example
materials = [
    ("Aluminum 6061-T6", 2700, 276, 68.9),
    ("Structural Steel A36", 7850, 250, 200.0),
    ("Titanium Ti-6Al-4V", 4430, 880, 113.8),
]
print(f"{'Material':22s} | {'Density (kg/m3)':>15s} | {'Yield (MPa)':>11s} | {'Specific Strength':>17s}")
print("-" * 74)
for name, rho, sy, e_gpa in materials:
    spec = (sy * 1e6) / rho / 1000.0
    print(f"{name:22s} | {rho:15d} | {sy:11d} | {spec:14.1f} kN*m/kg")
